Okay every weekend I'm going to come in and say an EXTREMELY INTERESTING fact about the best state in Australia, South Australia.

Okay, interesting fact for the 17th - 18th of February IS:

DID YOU KNOW that South Australia was one of the first places in the world to give women the right to vote (before federation c.1901) We were also the first place in Australia to give Aborigines the right to vote (also before federation) but at federation they were stripped from the right to vote by the federal goverment and they were allowed to vote for another 70 - 80 years.

Um, artkn, you are such an idiot. Think before you flame, not that you should flame in the first place.
Adelaide has the crappiest drinking water in the country whilst canberra has the best, and our unemployment rate is far lower than yours. Canberra is a much more beautifal place to live, with all the greenery and space. Its a very well organised city. THe governments of sydney and melbourne chose a great spot for their capital. Ive lived in both cities (and now in melbourne) and i believe canberra is a much more luxurious place to live, reason why it is way more expensive <.<. And canberra has its subordinate territory by the sea. Two territiories artkn, pay attention to your geography classes.

And its melbournes fault that adelaide's water is crappy, duuuuh. Canberra is very effient with their usage of the murray water (only a mere 13% and recycles half of the usage) and has its own damns <.<

I'm not going to call you an idiot. I'm not going to delete or edit your post. However, I will say that the unemployment rate is low because there is a very low population with a very high amount of buildings. This low population is also responsible for the use of Murray water. It's also "dams" not "damns". Like I said, Adelaide has a very limited amount of water, and that is why the water quality is low. However, many houses now have Purataps or other water purification methods. Adelaide is also a very well organised city, as well as Canberra. Both were designed before being made, so they both have an appearance which is better than that of the larger cities. I recently went to Canberra touring with my band, and I was the only person out of about 100 who liked the city. I thought it was very cosy, others thought it was a shithole. I'm just saying that I like South Australia. This is a South Australian thread, and it would be appreciated if you didn't bag South Australia here.

but i will like to live in adelaid for a year to see what it is like (and to go to the uni there)
